A is for....

An award!  For my blog!  Very nice of Nancy at Olive Leaf Ministries to name me for this really pretty image to add to my blog.  [Kind of like a pictoral meme.]

The rules explain the award:

1. Pick five blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also for contributing to the blogging community, no matter what language.

2. Each award must have the name of the author and a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.

3. Each award winner must show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself. Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of “Arte y Pico” blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award (http://arteypico.blogspot.com/)

I pass this award on to:

Sorry, Guys, this just looked like a chick thing to me.  Call me old-fashioned.  It's because of my age.

Gordon Bennet, this is one of the biggest, nicest and happiest surprises of my Mama's life! Her little eyes are popping out of their sockets this morning as she learns that you have given my blog an award! The Bernard Bunch is truly touched, Dr Boucher! We all reckon you are an undercover Saint really ... equipped with a fascinatingly engaging sense of humour, despite your allegations quite to the contrary! We think you must have been British (or possibly Zambian) in a previous life! I will endeavour to honour this award with the zeal it deserves, and continue the lineage of awards ... THANK YOU Dr Boucher.

The Weaver

  • My Life is but a weaving Between my Lord and me; I cannot choose the colors He worketh steadily.

Oft times He weaveth sorrow And I, in foolish pride, Forget He sees the upper, And I the under side.

Not til the loom is silent And the shuttles cease to fly, Shall God unroll the canvas And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful In the Weaver's skillful hand, As the threads of gold and silver In the pattern He has planned.

He knows, He loves, He cares, Nothing this truth can dim. He gives His very best to those Who chose to walk with Him.
